Game Software Engineer
Studio Klondike is an independent game development team with a passion for storytelling.
We’re looking for a game software engineer to join our development team and help build new tools to bring our stories to life. Applicants will be expected to work collaboratively with our other team members across the variety of projects currently in development.

Percent of Time: 50%
Work Schedule: 20 hours per week
Appointment: Part Time
Under direction of the project lead, a game software engineer will assist with planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining upcoming games at Studio Klondike. The game software engineer will work closely with project leads, other software engineers, and stakeholders to design and implement game software, primarily in the Unity engine, taking into account requirements, time constrains, and project scope. In addition, a game software engineer along with their peers, will be responsible for maintaining and documenting code in existing software.

Design and implement game systems according to stakeholder requirements, time constraints, and project scope.
Collect, catalog, and mitigate issues in existing software. Periodically review existing projects to maintain code and documentation.
Other duties as assigned
Other administrative work as assigned.
US $21 - $23 / hour, commensurate with experience
Bachelor’s degree or pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Proficiency in English for reading, writing, speaking, and listening
Proven experience with the Unity game engine
Advanced knowledge of C# and C++
Strong communication skills for collaboration and code review
Strong analytical and reasoning ability

Proven experience handling multiple projects simultaneously

Experience programming in languages other than C# and C++

Prior experience in an interactive, non-interactive, or other media organization
Prior experience working in a distributed development organisation
